What Schedule is Best for a Seventh Grader? In 7th grade, parents will homeschool roughly 4 hours a day. But remember, you're homeschooling now, so you're not tied down to a certain schedule or number of hours each day, and you'll love the amount of flexibility.

To help nurture your child's independence but maintain structure in their daily lives, create a reading routine that suits their busy schedule. “Students benefit greatly from a regular reading routine that involves at least 30 minutes of daily reading,” Parrasch says.

In 7th grade, your child will analyze, define, compare, and evaluate ideas when reading, writing, speaking, and listening. He or she will continue to analyze how themes in fiction and nonfiction develop over the course of a book or article.

These states are North Carolina, Florida, and Georgia (in that order). As of 2021, North Carolina had 179,900 homeschooled students. Florida came a close second with about 143,431 homeschooled students. Georgia (in third place) had 85,510 students.
